Closet Clean Out Brings 500+ Pre-Loved Pieces to Pembroke This September

More than 500 pre-loved fashion pieces, local sellers, clothing repairs and charity stalls are coming together for a free outdoor afternoon at The Hideout in Pembroke on 8 September.

If your wardrobe could do with a refresh, there’s no need to head straight for the high street. On Tuesday 8 September, Thrifted.mt and ReStyle are bringing Closet Clean Out to The Hideout at the BMX Track in Pembroke, turning an ordinary afternoon into a celebration of second-hand fashion.

Running from 3pm to 8pm, the outdoor market is expected to bring together around 20 to 30 local sellers, with more than 500 pre-loved pieces available to browse. The selection will span different styles, sizes and price points, with the focus firmly on clothes coming directly from people’s own wardrobes.

Alongside the shopping, visitors can enjoy music, drinks and a relaxed outdoor atmosphere while discovering some of Malta’s local second-hand sellers. Entry is free, subject to venue capacity.

There’s also a practical side to the afternoon, with a dedicated station for clothing repairs, visible mending and customisation, supported by volunteer Francesca Nardelli through Friends of the Earth Malta. Charity stalls from Happy Paws and EmpowerHER will add another reason to stop by.

The event forms part of Thrifted’s wider push to make second-hand shopping feel like an everyday choice… one that is social, affordable and better for keeping clothes in circulation for longer. Since launching, more than 3,500 pieces have been listed through Thrifted, the Malta-based marketplace available on web, iOS and Android.

For those heading to Pembroke, eCabs is supporting the event as Mobility Partner. The code THRIFTED15 gives visitors 15% off up to two rides per person.

Entry is free, subject to venue capacity.
